<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device with a double-sided printing function where even when failing to set a double sided carrying means in a normal condition in the process of jam handling, it is normally recovered by a subsequent operation. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device capable of carrying sheet and recording on both sides of the sheet has a feeding cassette unit 27 capable of inserting/extracting the feeding cassette storing the sheet, a process unit for forming an image on the carried sheet, and a double sided carrying unit 26 for carrying the sheet recorded on one side with the process unit to the process unit for recording on the other side. The double sided carrying unit 26 can be displaced to a first state capable of carrying the sheet to the process unit and a second state opening a carrying route. When the double sided carrying unit 26 is in the second state, the feeding cassette unit 27 is displaced to the first state by inserting the feeding cassette unit 27 into a device body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
