<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an analog optical transmission system equipped with a structure for expanding a distance for which analog transmission can be performed. <P>SOLUTION: The analog optical transmission system has an optical transmitter (10) for sending an optical signal modulated on the basis of an electrical signal multiplexed on a frequency axis, a transmission path (30) including a 20 km or less full length SMF, and an optical receiver (20). A distribution compensation fiber (400) for compensating wavelength distribution of the transmission path (30) is arranged on the transmission path (30). The distribution compensation fiber (400) has a -250 ps/nm/km or shorter wavelength distribution and a 1.2 km or shorter, or a -330 ps/nm/km or shorter wavelength distribution and a 1.1 km or shorter.
