<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user with more detail information in relation to a printer. <P>SOLUTION: When a user sets a printing condition on a client computer, the client computer requests transmission of switching information of a conveyance path of paper to a printer through a print server (steps S100, S120, S130), receives the switching information transmitted from the printer (steps S130, S140) by the print server, judges a discharge outlet of the printer where the paper can be discharged according to the received switching information, and then outputs the judged result to display it on a monitor of the client computer (step S150).
