PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interchangeable lens type imaging device capable of performing a high speed and highly precise focusing control. SOLUTION: The imaging device having an imaging element whose focusing-controllable photographic lens can be interchanged by mounting and demounting and which photoelectrically converts a subject image formed by the photographic lens has a focus detecting means of detecting the focus adjustment state of the photographic lens on a phase difference detection system by using luminous flux incident from the imaging lens, a correction arithmetic means of computing a focus position by using a correction value of a solid body regarding focus detection stored in the photographic lens, and a calibration mode setting means, the imaging device being characterized in that when a calibration mode is selected, a plurality of defocus photographs are taken based upon the open F value of the photographic lens and the device has a storage change means of newly updating and storing a correction value of the solid body regarding the focus detection.
