PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device which can perform speech recognition so that facility names that a user speaks with high possibilities can be recognized more accurately to improve a speech recognition rate since the speech recognition is set to be easier for names of facilities positioned within a range that a own vehicle can reach up to a period of time wherein facilities begin to be used with high possibilities. SOLUTION: Speech data of facility names read in a dictionary 110 for speech recognition from a place name/facility name dictionary 110c as standby words for speech recognition execution are limited to only speech data of names that the user speaks with high possibility, and speech approximation degrees corresponding to possibilities of utterance by the user are set to all the standby words read in the dictionary 110a for speech recognition so that speech data that the user speaks with higher possibilities during the speech recognition execution are determined as speech recognition results with higher possibilities.
