PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for displaying a position of a GPS satellite to be easily grasped. SOLUTION: This navigation system is provided with a GPS receiver for outputting an azimuth and an elevation angle viewed from the present position. A map data is stored in a memory. A projection drawing in the periphery of the present position from a specified view point (present position or sky side thereof) is prepared using the map data. A position of the GPS satellite on the projection drawing is found based on the azimuth and the elevation angle from the GPS receiver, and the found position of the GPS satellite is displayed together with the projection drawing. The GPS satellite is changed in display modes in response to reception conditions and distances.
