PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a "vehicle-mounted disk device" in which vibration durability under a high-temperature environment during the play operation is improved. SOLUTION: A desired disk D is selected from a plurality of disks D accommodated in a stoker 21 so as to be drawn out to a driving unit 7. During the play operation for reproducing information of the selected disk D, when a temperature sensor 70 detects a high temperature equal to or more than a preset prescribed temperature, after stopping both the rotational driving of a turntable 62 by a spindle motor 61 and the light emission operation of an optical pickup 63, a drive chassis 30 is switched from a damping mode to a lock state, while clamping the selected disk D between the turntable 62 and a clamper 66. When the detection of the high temperature by the temperature sensor 70 is released, the protection of the optical pickup 63 is released, and simultaneously, the drive chassis 30 is mechanically switched from the lock state to the unlock state so as to be automatically switched to the play operation.
