PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of preventing, by a simple configuration, recording paper from being obliquely conveyed on the downstream side of a transfer unit. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: an image forming means which has a developing unit for developing a latent image formed on a photoreceptor by an electrophotographic process and a transfer unit for transferring the toner image to the surface of the recording paper and forms a toner image developed on the photoreceptor, on recording paper; and a fixing means 40 for fixing the unfixed toner image to the recording paper. In the image forming apparatus, a moving means 70 is disposed on the downstream side of the transfer unit in the conveying direction Y of the recording paper so as to support a pair of rollers conveying the recording paper and move at least one of the axial ends of each of the pair rollers in the direction of the conveyance of the recording paper.
