PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent fraudulence by preventing the malfunction of a token detection sensor comprising an infrared-light shooting device, etc. SOLUTION: Token detection sensors S1 and S2 consisting of a light projector 46 and a light receiver 47 are mounted in a token passage for guiding tokens loaded from a token slot to take the tokens into a casing in the game machine. The passage of the tokens is detected as the loaded tokens shade the optical axis emitted from the light projector 46 to the light receiver 47. The game machine also has a token detection sensor control means 54 for including identification codes to identify regular signals in light emission signals for making the light projector 46 project light, and for making the light projector 46 and the light receiver 47 communicate with each other so that the identification codes can be taken out as light receiving signals on the light receiving side.
