A method includes transmitting a data sample from a producer device to a consumer device via a network, receiving a request at the producer device to send configuration information to the consumer device, and transmitting the configuration information to the consumer device via the network. A computer program product includes a storage medium readable by a processing circuit and storing instructions for execution by the processing circuit for performing a method, which includes transmitting a data sample from a producer device to a consumer device via a network, receiving a request at the producer device to send configuration information to the consumer device, and transmitting the configuration information to the consumer device via the network.
