MECHANICALLY-ASSEMBLED HEAT EXCHANGER AND GASKET THEREFOR

The invention relates to a mechanically-assembled heat exchanger and to a gasket therefor. The inventive heat exchanger comprises a collector plate which is pierced with holes that are bordered by collars (24) in order to receive tubes (12) with the insertion of a gasket, such as to form a sleeve (34) on each tube (12). The aforementioned sleeve (34) is equipped with an inner wall (42) and an outer wall (44) and comprises an annular end (46) which extends beyond the collar (24). According to the invention, prior to assembly, the end (46) of the sleeve (34) has an extra thickness (48) of a chosen shape. The extra thickness (48) is arranged such as to press the inner wall (42) of the sleeve (34) against the tube (12) after assembly under the effect of an elastic return force close to the end (46). The invention is suitable for heat exchangers for motor vehicles.
