An optical receiver for receiving an optical signal transmitted from a mobile phone is provided. The adaptive optical receiver includes: an optical sensing unit for receiving the optical signal and converting the optical signal into an electrical signal; an integration unit for receiving the electrical signal from the optical sensing unit, integrating the received electrical signal, and outputting an average value of the integration value; a comparator having a first input port for receiving the output signal of the optical sensing unit and a second input port for receiving the output signal of the integration unit, the comparator comparing the signals input to the first and second input ports and outputting a comparison result; a level shifter; a central controller for receiving the output signal of the level shifter, detecting the data from the received output signal, and outputting the data; and a communication unit for transmitting the output signal of the central controller under the control of the central controller.
