<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of automatically performing logging classified by the size of transfer paper in copying by manual feeding even when the size of manually fed transfer paper is not manually designated before starting copying. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is equipped with a system control means which recognizes the main scanning size of an original detected by an original size detection means as the main scanning size of the manually fed transfer paper, and also recognizes the sub scanning length of the manually fed transfer paper to which an image is actually transferred detected by a transfer paper size detection means as the subscanning size of the manually fed transfer paper when the manually fed transfer paper is selected by an operation control means and an original is inserted in an original conveying means so as to perform transfer. The system control means is constituted to update a counter for counting the number of sheets of the manually fed transfer paper classified by the size of the manually fed transfer paper based on the main scanning size and the subscanning size of the recognized manually fed transfer paper. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
