<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motion detector capable of accurately recognizing the motion of an object without letting sensitivity depend on the position of the object. <P>SOLUTION: Since the motion detector is provided with a projection device 11 for projecting a plurality of luminescent points in an object area, an image pickup device 12 for picking up the image of the object area where the plurality of luminescent points are projected, a measurement means 14 for measuring the motion of the object present in the object area on the basis of the movement of the plurality of luminescent points on the picked-up image and correction means 24 and 24a for correcting the motion of the object corresponding to the position at which the image of the luminescent point or the area including the luminescent point is picked up in the case that the respective intervals of the adjacent ones of the plurality of luminescent points are not equal on a plane inside the object area, the motion detector capable of accurately recognizing the motion of the object without letting the sensitivity depend on the position of the object is provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
