<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a die processing device including a spindle to work in high speed rotation, having a high rotational accuracy and a high static stiffness/dynamic stiffness, and capable of performing processing with a high efficiency and high accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: The spindle 4 of a spindle device 1 to rotate a tool 11 is supported by static pressure-magnetic complex bearings 6-9 and furnished with current sensing means 15-18 to sense the excitation current of the complex bearings 6-9 and a processing condition grasping means 19 to grasp the processing condition from the sensed amperages. Further an external command respond on-off means 20 is installed, and the complex bearings 6-9 are made possible to support only with their static pressure gas bearing part in conformity to the external command.
