PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To aim at improvement of labor-saving, reduction in man-hours and operating efficiency by automating the movement of the so-called "straight-action type" die, where crimping die moves in straight line. SOLUTION: A crimping die for crimping a wire 1 and a terminal 2 is driven by a motor 5. The crimping die 3 is formed, by arranging a crimper 6 having crimping grooves 61a, 63a at lower face, and an anvil 7 arranged under the crimper 6, having a crimping protrusion 7a capable of being fitted into the crimping grooves 61a, 63a on the upper face. The anvil 7 and the motor 5 are connected through a movement mechanism 14 for crimping the wire 1 and the terminal 2 by converting rotational force of the motor 5 into vertical linear movement to push up the anvil 7.
