PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize reduction in the cost of a split sleeve by making it possible to work the split sleeve with bending press work. SOLUTION: A split sleeve for optical communication has an axial slit which passes from an opening of one side of a cylindrical body to an opening of the other side of the cylindrical body, wherein the split sleeve is made of copper alloy which contains Sn in an amount of 3.0 to 11.0 wt.% and Fe and P in an amount of 0.05 to 1.0 wt.% in total or contains Fe, Ni and P in an amount of 0.05 to 1.0 wt.% in total, and the balance Cu.
