PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolled paper holding device capable of performing accurate printing by accurately positioning and holding a position of the rolled paper in a printing device having the rolled paper. SOLUTION: A contact member 15 for pressing the rolled paper 60 held by a holding shaft 30 installed on support frame parts 12a, 12b to a flange 33 of the holding shaft 30. The contact member 15 presses the contact member 15 to a direction of the flange 33 by elastic members 19a, 19b, an opposite side surface of the rolled paper is abutted on the flange 33, i.e., a reference position and the rolled paper 60 is aligned to the reference position at a left side. The lower part of the contact member 15 is projected and a projection amount is small as it advances to an upper part. Accordingly, when a diameter of the rolled paper is large, it is pressed by strong force and when it becomes a small diameter, the pressing force is weakened. Thereby, the rolled paper 60 can be always aligned to the reference position by suitable pressing force considering inertia when the rolled paper is rotated/driven. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
