PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording method and an image recording device capable of giving curl of desired direction and size to a desired position of an image recording material even in any one of before image recording and after image recording. SOLUTION: The image recording method includes a curl control step for controlling the curl by varying an angle (embracing angle:θ) applied to a curl control member by a long sheet in response to any one of variation of a mass of a roll body 16 by unwinding the long sheet from the image recording roll body 16 having at least a thermoplastic resin-containing layer on a support body and variation of radius of the roll body 16; and an image recording step for cutting the curl-controlled long sheet to an image recording sheet by a roll cutting means and recording the image on the image recording sheet.
