<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control manually inserted paper set on a manual insertion paper feeding port by a method enhancing usability in an image formation device provided with the manual insertion paper feeding port on the midway of a paper conveying passage from a paper cassette to an image recording part and conveying the manually inserted paper set on the manual insertion paper feeding port through the paper conveying passage. <P>SOLUTION: The image formation device is provided with a detection part for detecting the existence of the paper set on the manual insertion paper feeding port; a timer for measuring a time during a period when the detection part detects the existence of the paper; a comparison part for outputting a time before or after the measurement time is a previously determined time when the measurement time of the timer is compared with the previously determined time; and an informing means for informing a paper feeding impossible state. In the case that an instruction of the execution of paper feeding is received and instructs the paper feeding other than the manual insertion paper feeding port, when the comparison part outputs "after", the manually inserted paper is delivered through the paper conveying passage and when the comparison part indicated "before", the informing means is controlled to inform a user of the paper feeding impossible state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
