<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable malfunction diagnosis device precisely determining a malfunction point of an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: This malfunction diagnosis device 1 diagnoses a malfunction point of a collected image forming apparatus. The diagnosis device 1 comprises: an image data input section 10 for receiving output image data from the collected image forming apparatus; a data management section 23 for storing relational data designating a relationship between image data and a component characteristic; and a data processing section 22.
