<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and securely prevent theft of a vehicle when a driver gets off. <P>SOLUTION: Turn operation of a steering wheel 11 is transmitted to a steering wheel through a steering column 12, an upper part steering shaft 13, and a lower part steering shaft 14 when driving the vehicle. When a shift lever is switched to a parking range and the driver gets off, a disconnection mechanism 30 separates the upper part steering shaft 13 from the lower part steering shaft 14 to inhibit steering of the steering wheel by turn operation of the steering wheel 11. When the driver grips the steering wheel 11 for starting driving again, an individual person certification sensor 15 and an individual person certification circuit 41 certify the driver to switch the disconnection mechanism 30 to a connection condition automatically and allow steering of the steering wheel by turn operation of the steering wheel 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
