<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the overflow state and the underflow state of an elastic buffer. <P>SOLUTION: The elastic buffer is provided with first, second, and third ring counters for transferring first, second, and third initial value data, a first storage circuit for holding the output of the first ring counter, a first AND circuit group to which the output of the second ring counter and that of the first storage circuit are inputted, a second AND circuit group to which the output of the third ring counter and that of the first storage circuit are inputted, a first OR circuit to which the output of the first AND circuit group is inputted, a second OR circuit to which the output of the second AND circuit group is inputted, a second storage circuit for storing the output of the first OR circuit, a third storage circuit for storing the output of the second OR circuit, and a decoding circuit which outputs an overflow signal and an underflow signal by decoding the output of the first/second OR circuits and that of the second/third storage circuits. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
