摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein a conventional fluorescent lamp used for illumination is composed by enclosing a discharging gas in a glass tube, which is formed by applying a fluorescent substance to its inside wall surface, whereby its efficiency is low because a surface with the fluorescent substance applied thereto is small and the total ultraviolet radiation can not be radiated to the surface with the fluorescent substance applied thereto, and the efficiency is low because electron density in the tube can not be increased by the structure of the conventional glass tube. SOLUTION: The glass tube is composed by doubly forming an outer tube 8 and a glass tube 9 in the in-tube center; a discharging gas is enclosed in the outer glass tube; a fluorescent substance 10 is applied to a surface in contact with the gas, that is, the inside surface of the outer glass tube; a fluorescent substance 11 is applied to the outside wall surface of the glass tube formed in the tube and thereby a fluorescent substance surface in contact with the discharge gas can be increased; and radiation of ultraviolet radiation 6 from multiple direction can easily be received to enhance light emission. Since the volume of the inside of the tube is reduced by forming the glass tube in the in-tube center of the glass tube and in-tube electrons 5 are moved to the peripheral part to increase density thereof and collide with in-tube mercury atoms 4, the quantity of the ultraviolet radiation 6 is increased by the increased density portion, and the ultraviolet radiation is radiated to the surface with the fluorescent substance applied thereto, whereby light emission can be enhanced and power consumption can be saved.
