PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing metal particles, by which fine carbon fibers can be dispersed in an electrolyte solution without using any dispersant and to provide metal particles produced without using any dispersant. SOLUTION: The method for producing the fine metal particles comprises a step of electrolyzing an electrolyte solution in which fine carbon fibers are dispersed to deposit metal particles mixed with the fine carbon fibers on a cathode and a step of separating the deposited metal particles from the cathode, wherein vibrations or impacts are applied to the electrolyte solution.
