PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thick-type resin lens and its molding method which shorten a molding time and enable an efficient molding. SOLUTION: In the thick-type resin lens molding method in which a movable mold 3 and a fixed mold 4 are formed so that a wall thickness is consecutively increased from either one side surface to the other side surface in the wall thickness direction of a projector type resin lens and finally reaches a prescribed wall thickness, the movable mold 3 is made up by forming a plurality of one side surfaces 3a and the fixed mold 4 is made up by forming a plurality of other side surfaces 4a, 4b, and either at least of the movable mold 3 and the fixed mold 4 is made movable consecutively to the adjacent molds 3, 4, and the resin for lenses is made injectable one after another and also the cooling of the resin is made possible and controlled so that the cooling time of a plurality of half-molded products by the movable mold 3 and the fixed mold 4 is almost the same.
