PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which forms an image using toner in which wax for improving the releasing property is packed and which reduces uneven glossiness in the image to thereby provide the good image of high glossiness. SOLUTION: The toner containing resin binder, color material and the wax for improving the releasing property is used. The toner image formed by using the toner is transferred on a recording sheet, thereafter, fixed by heating and pressurizing the sheet in the fixing apparatus 12. A transport roll 20 for transporting the recording sheet with the fixed toner image while being in contact with the recording sheet is heated by a heater 22, and the temperature of the part coming in contact with the toner image is brought close to the temperature of the toner image. The heating control is performed by a controller 24 based on the detection values by a 1st temperature sensor 14 for detecting the temperature of the toner image and a 2nd temperature sensor 15 for detecting the surface temperature of the transport roll. Consequently, regarding the fixed toner image, the part coming in contact with the transport roll or the like is not rapidly cooled, then, the occurrence of such the uneven glossiness that the glossiness of the contact part becomes remarkably high, is suppressed.
