PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester film for mold release very little in the amount of precipitated oligomers and usable for various uses such as use for ceramic mold release. SOLUTION: The polyester film for mold release has a polyester layer containing a titanium compound and a phosphorous compound in such amounts as to simultaneously satisfy the under-mentioned formulas (1) and (2). Formula (1) is indicated by 0<W<SB>Ti</SB>≤20 and formula (2) is indicated by 1≤W<SB>P</SB>≤300, wherein W<SB>Ti</SB>indicates the content (ppm) of the titanium element in the polyester layer and W<SB>P</SB>indicates the content (ppm) of the phosphorous element in the polyester film.
