PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a milling technology wherein pulverizing object is efficiently cooled with simple structure to suppress heat generation of the pulverized powder, dew condensation can be suppressed, and degradation of flavor or taste of the obtained pulverized powder can be prevented. SOLUTION: This mill is provided with a stone mill apparatus 1 crushing and pulverizing crushing object raw material S1 in a space 13 between a pair of vertically disposed rotary mill 10 and stationary mill 11, and a coolant apparatus 5 formed to generate a gaseous cooling body by jetting (adiabatically expanding) liquefied gas. The crushing object raw material S1 supplied to the stone mill apparatus 1 is cooled by spraying the gaseous cooling body (dry ice snow) generated in the coolant apparatus 5.
