PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airtight container, having excellent air tightness, and enabling visual confirmation on whether or not the gap between the container body and a lid is surely closed. SOLUTION: This airtight container includes: a refill case 1 provided with a cosmetics storing recessed part 1a formed on the top face; a refill lid 2 covering the top face of the refill case 1; and a packing 18 provided between the refill case 1 and the refill lid 2. Outer peripheral inclined surfaces 12a declined inward are respectively formed on both opposite sides of the outer peripheral surface of the upper end part of the peripheral side wall 11 of the refill case 1, and inner peripheral inclined surfaces 17a removably engaging with both outer peripheral inclined surfaces 12 of the refill case 1 and abutted thereon air-tightly in the lid closed state are formed on both opposite sides of the inner peripheral surface of the lower end part of the peripheral side wall 15 of the refill lid 2 corresponding to both outer peripheral inclined surfaces 12a.
