The invention relates to the use of a film for medical diagnostic strips by means of which biological liquids are tested. Said film comprises a carrier material the one or two faces of which are hydrophilized by chemical treatment and said treated surface has the following properties: permanent hydrophilic properties; a surface tension of at least 58 mN/m and a contact angle with water smaller 50°.
