BONE PRECURSOR CELLS: COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS

Disclosed are methods, compositions and uses of bone precursor cells. Bone precursor cells are cells which are not hematopietic and which can differentiate into osteoblasts upon exposure to a bone growth factor and deposit calcium into the extracellular matrix. In addition, methods of differentiating bone precursor cells into osteoblasts are disclosed. Bone precursor cells are useful in the treatment of certain bone related disorders and diseases such as, promoting fracture repair.
