The heat exchanger for an air conditioning system, for a motor vehicle, has at least one collection tube and a heat exchanger block (1) of corrugated ribs (3) and flat pipes (2) with twisted ends to fit into the collection tube and straight sections with narrow sides. The corrugated ribs between the flat pipes are flush with the pipe narrow sides on one side, and extend over the pipe at the other side to form a rib projection (4).
