<p>An algae breeding chamber (10) comprises a tank (17) with a meandering array of feed (16) and feedback (15) tubes exposed to a light source made up of numerous rod-shaped lamps, where each tube is associated with a single parallel rod-shaped lamp, each with an outer mantle, and each straight tube is held at each end by a U-shaped connector (14) from which it is detachable.
