The present invention refers to a system for fastening and guiding a carbon brush (16, 18), the system further applying strength to the brush in the direction of a current transmission commuter (14). The commuter comprises a first spring element (20) acting over the brush surface which is away from the rubbing surface. The brush is actuated with a required strength in the direction of the commuter by means of a second spring element (52, 56, 56) actuated over the first spring element (20), thereby applying strength to the brush in the direction of the commuter (14).
