Orthogonal swirl generator

The system has a radial compressor (1) with a suction-side opening, and a swirl generator (2) with an outlet portion facing the opening. An inlet portion (7) of the generator is angularly configured relative to the outlet portion. The generator comprises adjustable baffle plates arranged concentrically around the outlet portion. A region of the generator is viewed in longitudinal section and is in rectangular configuration.
