Lock has an electronic interrogation device (21) which, following an electronic inquiry, responds via a transponder by asking for an authentication. If authentication is received, an electric control of a locking element (26) is activated to release the lock. An antenna is held in the rotating lever (14) of the lock for use with the transponder, and the lever also has a pressure sensitive switch with it. Electrical control of the locking element (26) is achieved by movement of the lock bar (7) between a locked and released position.
