The device has a removable cartridge (20) containing new electrodes sliding inside a straight store room. The electrodes, using a thrust system (41), are driven one by one to a loading station (47) that has a guide (59) and two panels (46, 46a) mounted on elastic components to constitute a cell (53). The cell is used for storing and loading a stand by new electrode for one of arms of welding pliers when the arm approaches the guide.
