PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of noise and deterioration of a mechanism at the time of switching operation of a following wind generating state and an against wind generating state while suppressing jumboizing the entire air blower, in the air blower. SOLUTION: A fan blade 34 is supported by a rotational wheel body 32 supported and rotated/driven by a rotational shaft 21 such that the fan blade 34 can be integrally rotated and the orientation of the fan blade 34 can be freely shifted to an intake orientation and an exhaust orientation, and an operational part 39 for shifting the orientation of the fan blade 34 is provided in the rotational wheel body 32. This air blower is provided with an operational body 42 externally fitted into the rotational shaft 21 movably to the axial center direction of the rotational shaft 21 and engaged with the operational part 39, and with an operational member 41 interlocked with the operational body 42. By moving the operational body 42 to the axial center direction of the rotational shaft 21 by the operational member 41, the orientation of the fan blade 34 is shifted to the intake orientation and exhaust orientation. The air blower is further provided with an interlocking part 51 provided in either one of the operational body 42 or the rotational wheel body 32 and an engagement part 53 provided the other of the operational body 42 or the rotational wheel body 32 and engaged with the interlocking part 53. The operational body 42 is guided to the axial center direction of the rotational shaft 21, and the operational body 42 and the rotational wheel body 32 are integrally rotated.
