PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste collection system capable of increasing the convenience of local residents while preventing the wild dumping of waste. SOLUTION: This waste collection system 10 for collecting the waste comprises a collection unit 20 capable of collecting various types of wastes and, when a specified waste is collected, providing deposit amount information on a preset deposit amount to a corresponding a resident basal ledger card C, an entry and exit control unit 30 controlling the entry and exit of users in a waste collection area in which the collection unit 20 is installed by reading out specific identification information stored in the resident basal ledger card C beforehand, and a control center acquiring collected amount information from the collection unit 20 and entry and exit control information from the entry and exist control unit 30 to collectively control a waste collection state and transmitting, as necessary, a collection instruction to a terminal device owned by a waste collecting company pre-selected based on the collected amount information.
