PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage tank repairing method for changing only a tank bottom plate and a portion in its vicinity at the repair timing. SOLUTION: A plurality of jacks 6 connected to a side plate upper portion 5a are arranged around a fuel tank 1, a periphery of a side plate 5 is cut off by welding, the side plate upper portion 5a is separated from a side plate lower portion 5b, and each jack 6 is jacked up at the same time to separate the side plate upper portion 5a from the side plate lower portion 5b. A bottom plate 4 and the side plate lower portion 5b are removed, a new bottom plate 4A is installed on the ground after removal, each jack 6 is jacked down at the same time, the side plate upper portion 5a is joined with the new bottom plate 4A, and welded along the joining position to integrate the side plate upper portion 5a with the bottom plate 4A.
