PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide toilet sand used for toilet for animals, suppressing occurrence of odor emitted by excrement left in the toilet sand and to provide the toilet using the sand. SOLUTION: The toilet sand for animals is constituted of a plurality of particulates and is equipped with a place 20 having water repellency and a place 30 having a water-absorbing property in a part of the surface.
