PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to design a page needed for the production of printed matter without skill. SOLUTION: Data which are close to the current plan are retrieved from a style data base and a material data base (S1) and the number of style frames is adjusted (S2). Then respective materials which should be put in each style frame are linked with the frame (S3). A permissible range such as the upper and lower limits of the size of the frame, etc., are specified by conditions (S4). Then style frames are arranged within a range meeting the conditions (S5). Respective materials are put in the respective style frames. If a problem occurs to the arrangement at this time, not only the materials, but also the size of the style frame, etc., are changed to automatically retrieve the best arrangement. |
