The invention relates to a device for detecting the binding of a target compound to a bait compound which is immobilised on a support. The inventive device comprises: a) a solid support; b) a coating which is linked non-covalently to the surface of the solid support; and c) a plurality of microparticles or nanoparticles which are linked to the coating, whereby at least one bait compound is fixed to each of same.
