The invention relates to an electric type deionized water production apparatus adapted to reliably suppress formation of scales in a concentration chamber even in a long-term continuous operation. The electric type deionized water production apparatus of the invention comprises a desalination chamber (D) in which between an anode chamber having an anode and a cathode chamber having a cathode, the anode side is partitioned by an anion exchange film (34) and the cathode side is partitioned by a cation exchange film (33), and a concentration chamber (31) in which the anode side is partitioned by the cation exchange film (33) and the anode side is partitioned by the anion exchange film (34) and the anode side of the anion exchange film (34) is filled with an anion exchange body (62). This electric type deionized water production apparatus is capable of suppressing formation of scales in the concentration chamber by being operated to supply water containing a free carbonate to the concentration chamber (31).
