<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device capable of recording/reproducing either on/from a Low to High medium or a High to Low medium. <P>SOLUTION: The optical disk device 100 records/reproduces on/from an optical disk medium 1. The optical disk medium 1 is manufactured as a Low to High medium or a High to Low medium.
