<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the optimal GUI operation at the time of browsing for every content. <P>SOLUTION: This content browsing device is provided with a content browsing means 10 for decoding contents 13, and a reproducing picture generation means 9 for displaying the contents decoded by the content browsing means at a display unit and a basic GUI operation means 11 for providing a GUI operation with an operator for the displayed contents.
