<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium carrying device capable of easily taking out a jammed recording medium by increasing a space between a carrying roll and a driven roll, and an image forming device having this recording medium carrying device. <P>SOLUTION: A support rail 84 is constituted by a part of a rib 82 erected on an inner face of a cassette storage chamber 54. The support rail 84 comprises a turn-supporting unit 86 to turnably support a turning shaft 80 of a holder to hold a driven roll 74, and a slide supporting unit 88 which is continuous from the turn-supporting unit 86 to slidably support the turning shaft 80. The driven roll 74 is turned around the turning shaft 80 by the predetermined angle, and leads to the first position separate from a carrying roll 70. When the turning shaft 80 further slides from the turn-supporting unit 86 to the slide supporting unit 88, the driven roll 74 leads to the second position at which the space between the carrying roll 70 and the driven roll 74 is more separate than that at the first separate position, and a recording paper P can be easily taken out thereby. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
