PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phosphor composition for lamps. SOLUTION: The invention relates to the phosphor composition for lamps represented by formula; (1-g)[((1-c-a)<SP>*</SP>Ln,c<SP>*</SP>Ce,a<SP>*</SP>A)PO<SB>4</SB>]<SB>xg</SB><SP>*</SP>GeO<SB>2</SB>, [in the formula Ln is at least an element selected from a group comprising La, Gd and/or Y, and A is at least an activator selected from Tb, Pr and/or Eu, wherein 0≤a≤1.0, 0≤c≤1.0 and 0<g≤0.2], and has a lattice structure of monoclinic structure (monazite).
