DUST REMOVING MECHANISM OF DIGITAL CAMERA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely remove dust sticking on an imaging element by suppressing variance of pressure of air blown to the imaging element. SOLUTION: A casing 26 of a dust removal unit 20 is set on a lens mount part 14. The casing 26 is provided with a rotary body 28 in a rotatable state and the rotary body 28 has a plurality of blowout holes (34A etc.) blowing air out to a CCD 22 and an air-exhaust hole 36. The plurality of blowout holes differ in air blowout angle and while the rotary body 28 is rotated, a gas cylinder 30 is placed in operation to blow air of uniform pressure to an area overlapping a photodetection surface 22A of a low-pass filter 24. Consequently, dust sticking in the area overlapping the photodetection surface 22A of the low-pass filter can securely be removed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
